My Bachelor's Degree is in Child Psychology & Development from The University of Minnesota/Twin Cities, a top research facility in this field.

My studies focused on adolescents, and I have worked with this population in a variety of settings including:

  • Runaway/Crisis Shelters
  • Transitional Shelter Facilities
  • Juvenile Felony-Offender Programs
  • In-Patient & Out-Patient Drug & Alcohol Programs

My work with teens has been a life-time endeavor, and I still find this process to be both engaging and rewarding. Teenagers are some of my favorite people!

My Master's Degree is in Counseling/Psychology with a Graduate Certificate in Drug & Alcohol Counseling. My work includes specializations in:

  • Co-Dependency
  • Adult Children of Alcoholics
  • Women with Alcohol Issues
  • Marijuana Use in the Adolescent & Young Adult Populations

These concentrations are of great importance to me as I teach my clients to take back their power and refocus their lives. Drug & Alcohol education is a big part of my work with clients who have or care about someone with substance abuse issues.
