Most people who come to therapy have one thing in common: they want to feel heard . . .
People want to know that someone is listening - whether that person has had the same experience or not. This connection is crucial to the therapeutic relationship and it's the foundation of good therapy.
Mental health therapy aids people in finding new perspectives while setting the stage for personal growth and emotional healing . . .
It's my job as a therapist to help my clients see another way through their issues. Reframing is a technique that alters the context of the problem so that clients can better assign new approaches and find adequate solutions. Therapy is not advice-giving; it's about bringing insight and understanding to situations where little exists.
Behavioral change is likely one of the most difficult things for humankind to master...
... but is necessary for us to grow. My work in mental health counseling encourages and supports positive behavioral changes that can dramatically improve both daily functioning and life-long fulfillment.
If you want to make a change in your life that could positively impact your perspective and improve your emotional well-being, I welcome the opportunity to join with you in addressing your concerns.
